AGM2021: Call for Candidates

Firstly, an apology. Due to some unforeseen personal circumstances on my part, we are a few days late in calling for candidates for the Geek.Zone this year. I do apologise and will ensure that we automate the process by next August.

Officers

Our Returning Officer, James Scott, is now taking nominations for the following Geek.Zone officers;

Trustee, Chair
Trustee, Secretary
Trustee ,Treasurer
Trustee, General
Regent, Coventry
Regent, Chelmsford
Regent, London

We have no limit on the number of General Trustees that can sit on the board, so the more the merrier! Regents are our lead event organisers in each District, so if that sounds good to you, again, please stand.

Standing for Election

To stand, please do the following.

Record a short (no longer than three minutes) video explaining to your fellow Geek.Zone members why you would be best for the position.
Publish your video somewhere – YouTube is probably a good idea.
Get another Geek.Zone member to agree to propose your candidacy.
Send the following to [email protected]
- The position you are standing for
- The name of your proposer
- Your video public URL

Done! You will receive a confirmation email and James will add you to the ballot.

Referendums

If there is a matter that you would like the Geek.Zone community to vote on,

Voting

Votes will be cast using Opavote, so keep an eye out for an email from opavote.com. It is vital that you have your say and voting takes less than 1 minute, so make sure you vote!
