Geek.Zone was founded in 2013 by James Geddes
His intention was to create a space where geeks could hang out and build friendships over tech, creativity, and gaming. Over the years the charity has evolved, and the trustees in charge of the charity have changed.
In 2025 James stepped down as Chair and was replaced by Kate Rees.
The secretary Hannah Geddes also stepped down to be replaced by Colin Park.
In 2026 Geek.Zone’s logo and slogan (Live Life on Fire) were changed by public vote.
