The Geek.Zone/Treasury is the economic and finance office of Geek.Zone. It maintains control over Geek.Zone spending and sets guidelines to allow Geek.Zone to grow sustainably, while being responsible with its resources.
Responsibility for the Geek.Zone/Treasury rests on the Treasurer. Unfortunately, Geek.Zone does not currently have any actual Treasure!

!Costs
Geek.Zone has lots of ongoing costs that are required in order to let us continue to do what we do. These are the major ones.

!Payments
All payments made by Geek.Zone must be authorized by at least 2 people, these people must be either a Trustee or a ((District Regent)). If the request is for more than £100, at least 3 people must approve it. The recipient of those funds cannot approve their own expense request.
No person will be reimbursed for a Geek.Zone related expense without a receipt, invoice or bank statement showing what the payment was for. All expense and purchase requests are to be listed on the [https://trello.com/b/KGeCzMKc|Treasury Trello board]. The intention is to move this process from trello to Geek.Zone in the future, so watch this space!
!Income
Geek.Zone does not receive any grants or lottery funding, it relies solely on community support. If you love your Geek.Zone and want Geek.Zone to continue, please consider ((Build Our Geek.Zone|supporting)) your community!
