I am thrilled to announce that Geek.Zone has joined one of the leading lights in Open Source Software, the Open Source Initiative!
For over 20 years the Open Source Initiative (OSI) has worked to raise awareness and adoption of open source software, and build bridges between open source communities of practice. Our fellow OSI members include household names such as Mozilla, the Wikimedia Foundation and the WordPress Foundation, as well as our friends at The Linux Foundation, Creative Commons & OpenUK.
Our admittance to such an esteemed organisation further cements our commitment to not only open source software, but also openness as an ethos. I would like to thank our Dev team and all our members for making this possible, and the OSI for welcoming us!
On the note of open source software, I would also like to take this opportunity to note that our new community platform, Geek.Zone/Web, will be released for member use later this year! This will be a fantastic help to all Geek.Zone members, so get involved!
